The Most Important Things I Learned in 2015.

The Most Important Things I Learned in 2015.
by- Lori Ann

2015 was by far one of the most challenging years I’ve had as an adult, but as Buddha once said “Every experience, no matter how bad it seems, holds within it a blessing of some kind. The goal is to find it.” Those blessings came to me in the form of lessons, some of the most important lessons I've learned. I’m sharing these with you today so you won’t have to learn the hard way, as I did!

1. SELF LOVE- As J.Cole so eloquently put it, “Love yourself girl or nobody will.” It is important to build a healthy relationship with your mind, body, and soul. Be grateful for all the unique qualities and features that make you YOU!
2. CONFIDENCE- Wear that crop top if it makes you feel sexy! Wear your hair natural if that’s what you want! Who cares what society thinks! We are the society. Dress for your own approval and not the approval of others.
3. COURAGE- Never be afraid to stick up for yourself,  and never be afraid to say no! Whether it be to drugs or alcohol, or something as simple as loaning money. You always have the option to say no! Never let anyone make you feel bad for your choice!
4. SAVE- Every grown woman should have a savings account!!! A good starting point is 10% of your pay and at least 3 months living expenses.
5. ALWAYS BE TRUTHFUL- The truth shall set you set you free!! In all seriousness though, the truth, no matter how bad it might be, is always better than a lie.
6. BUILD MEANINGFUL FRIENDSHIPS- Sure you have 1,000 friends and Facebook, but how many of them can you count on to be there for you? It is important to build friendships that are deeper than gossiping and drinking and smoking. Make friends who you can cry with, who support and believe in you!
7. FIND A HOBBY- Photography, writing, reading, running, anything that doesn’t involve alcohol!
8. GIRL POWER- Never judge, shame, or feel intimidated by another woman! Instead we should inspire, uplift and help build each other up!
I hope these help you as much as they helped me! Share some of your life-lessons with me. If this article helped you in any way, share it and keep the positivity flowing.

Things women should stop doing to each other

  1. Slut-shaming. Let women make their own decisions and stop feeling like it's your given right to express your disapproval. Here's a motto to live by: Not your vagina, not your business.
  2. Making comments about other women's bodies.  What's attractive to yo may not be attractive to someone else.
  3. Knowingly going after another woman's significant other. We all know the Golden Rule "Do onto others, as you would have them do unto you" I'm sure you wouldn't want some one scheming on your man, so don't do it to other women.
  4. Being jealous of each other's accomplishments. Be happy for other women and the achievements that they work hard for. Use it as motivation to accomplish something in your life.
  5. Blaming the "other woman" when the man cheats. First of all, the girl may not have even known he was in a relationship. Why is it that so many girls hate the "other woman" and yet stay with the same cheating  man? The guy is the one who said he loved you, who vowed commitment to you, and who betrayed you. Stop seeking revenge on the "other woman" and face the reality of the situation, it's your mans fault.
  6. Spreading rumors. We have enough to deal with as it is.
  7. Avoiding actual conversation with a woman you're in a conflict with. Why is it that we sometimes feel the need to tell everyone why we are angry with someone -- except that person? Just go straight to the source, and work it out like adults.
  8. Vowing secrecy and then still telling a few other women. If a friend tells you something in confidence and requests your discretion, show her the respect that she deserves.
  9. Competing with each other. We are all on the same team in this world and when we start fighting against each other, we do nothing but create ridiculous divides.
  10. Comparing our bodies. You size up another woman and start comparing her to yourself, and it's just poisonous. Love who you are and don't think you need to look like anyone else.
  11. Criticizing each other's personalities. When a girl is talkative, stop calling her annoying. When a girl is more quiet, stop calling her stuck up.
  12. Being fake to each other. If you have a problem with another woman, simply don't associate with her. Don't pretend to be her friend only to laugh with your other peers about how awful she is.
  13. Being enemies with each other for no reason. If someone asks you why you don't like a certain girl and you literally have no answer for that question, give it up.
  14. Using the shortcomings of other women to make themselves look better. Don't put down another girl's decisions to give you more confidence in your own.
  15. Sub-tweeting about each other or crafting any kind of indirect social media post. Junior high is over. We are way too old for this sh*t.
When we work together we are a force to be reckoned with. Sisterhood is powerful!!! In my wildest dream every woman will share this and make it go viral, then we would all just wake up and love each other! *Wishful Thinking* Lori Ann @lorianngotjuice

November Horoscopes

Aries: There’s been a lot going on for you since mercury retrograde last month in

October – you should have learned quite a few lessons; especially about creating

a healthy balance between your fiery power and the power of another (a partner,

a co-worker, a boss, etc). November is the time to celebrate where these newly

balanced relationships could take you! Enjoy being truthful and hearing the truth

from others. It’s a healthy and beneficial medicine!

MERCURY RETROGRADE EDITION!

Mercury retrograde is an astrological situation that has been shrouded in myth,

storytelling, and plain’ old fear for years. Despite of what you may have heard about

Mercury Retrograde periods (technology shuts down, communication funks up, etc),

the true meaning of it for ALL SIGNS, is to go within. Take your thought processes,

and make them more internal. Communicate with yourself. Cultivate those genius

thoughts that only you can conjure in your own head. Recognize that same genius in

others as well. We’re all re-learning how to THINK. Keep that in mind while reading.

MUCH LOVE!,

Daizy October

Aries: Mercury retrograde will be in your opposite sign of Libra some time this

month, so now’s a good time to work on the listening part of communication. You

may come into contact with people who have some ideas that are different from

yours, and that may widen your perspectives. Remember to stay engaged, listen

wholly, and make a conscious effort to give leeway in an argument. Speak truthfully,

but listen even more deeply. Work with harmony in mind.

5 ways to be more confident!

Always keep in my mind that confidence can grow!! Many of our favorite celebs were once that shy awkward kid school (not saying that you are;) before they transformed into the beautiful social butterfly that they are today, If they can do it, so can you!I'll share with you my tricks for when my confident levels aren't on 100.

1. Don't compare yourself to others!- I can't stress this one enough! We are humans! Not clones, Each one of us is different and we all are beautiful and talented and we all have something that works for us.
2.Release Guilt- Guilt is meant to be a temporary emotion. It helps us to understand our actions, act to correct the mistake then pushes us to apologize, that's it! Not to spam our emotions. Listen to your guilt, figure out how to right your wrong and then release it!
3. Know your flaws-  Once you know your weaknesses no one can ever use them against you.No one is perfect! Trying to perfect at everything is inefficient.
4. Stay positive- Always look for the good in every situation.
5. Love Yourself- you are a gift, nothing would be the same if you didn't exist!

I hope these tricks help you as much as they helped me! - Lori Ann
