Sandal Refashion

Sandals are in and shoes are out! It’s summer and it’s time to air out those feet and get cute

pedicures (which I’m due for!!) So what great DIY accessory goes great with pedicures? A

sandal refashion, of course! Have old boring sandals? I know I do. Wanna make those boring

old sandals into something cute and in style? Then this is the DIY project for you! And the great

news ladies is that it will only cost $1 to refashion your old sandals....that’s pretty awesome to me.

So here are the materials we will need:

*All purchased from the 99 Cent Store, of course!

1. An infinity scarf

2. A pair of old sandals, or new ones, doesn't matter (On sale at Wal-Mart!!)

3. A pair of large scissors

4. A hot glue gun is optional!!

First we find the seam to our infinity scarf, grab your scissors and cut down the seam.

Second, line up the ends of the now cut infinity scarf.

Pull your scarf through the straps, while the ends are still lined up. There will be a loop at the

end.

Take the ends of the scarf and pull them through the loop just made, now tighten the scarf so it

is secure. You may need to pull the ends separately to tighten around the strap. Now you have two separate ends of the scarf, take one end and begin to wrap it around one of the straps of your sandal, will look like this.

It helps if you twist your scarf end and then wrap to get a tighter look, no strap can be peaking out!!

Continue like this until you get to the end

Lay that strip of scarf aside so you’re able to wrap the other strap. When you’re finished it will look like this.

THIS NEXT STEP IS OPTIONAL:

You could cut the end of the scarf where it completely wraps around the entire strap and hot glue the end down to secure it.

OR....

We could leave them to make a stylish sandal!! Now try on your sandal and take your two strips

of scarf and wrap them around your ankle than back around to where the ends meet in the  front of your leg
, now tie into a bow. Cute right?!?

I think so! And that’s it, easy right? And soooo affordable! Don’t forget to send Obsidian Girl a

pic of your finished DIY! Gotta run and make more!!
